The Poets’ Retreat is a recently fully renovated three bedroom holiday apartment to rent for your exclusive use situated on the second floor of a 16th century Cultural Heritage palazzo in the historic centre of the beautiful ancient city of Sulmona.

Furnished to a high standard with beautiful antiques and modern amenities The Poets’ Retreat provides the perfect blend of comfort and elegance for your stay.

This high-end 3-bedroom apartment with a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one with hydro-massage bath the other with a walk-in rain shower), 3 balconies with views across the terracotta rooftops to the mountains and a small covered terrace to enjoy the sunset over the rooftops at aperitivo time, is the ideal place for you to stay either as a couple or with friends and family. You will also have access to the cantina (former stables) where you can safely store any luggage or sports equipment. There is air conditioning and heating with individual settings for your comfort in each of the rooms (the bathrooms have radiators only).

The Maiella National Park is 9 km away, Roccaraso – Rivisondoli 37 km, and Abruzzo Airport 67 km from the apartment. There are many buses to get you around and also a train station a 20 to 30 minute walk from the centre or short taxi ride away. If you are coming by car then Sulmona is ideally located to get around the region with access to the motorway and the SS17.

Price for up to 4 people per night is €220, There is a surcharge of a total of €20 per night for up to a maximum of two additional guests. The minimum night stay is three nights unless otherwise agreed or if there is an active promotional offer of less. For bookings of one week we offer a 10% discount. For additional weeks we can make a further reduction. The maximum booking allowed by the regional authorities is 30 days.
